Who are we?

When you visit our website or contact us, you sometimes share personal data with us. We handle that data with care and comply with the applicable legislation, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy and cookie policy explains which data we collect, what we do with it and which cookies our website uses.

This policy applies to all contact between you and mseed, regardless of how you communicate with us.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information that relates to you and by which you can be identified, such as your name, your e-mail address or your telephone number.

Sensitive personal data

Some data, such as ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health or a criminal record, fall under special categories of personal data. We do not collect such data.

Children under 16

We do not intend to process data of persons under the age of 16. However, we cannot verify the age of visitors. Do you believe we have nevertheless collected data from a minor without the consent of a parent or guardian? Let us know at info@mseed.be and we will erase that data.

What do we use your data for?

1. To answer your question

You can e-mail us, call us or fill in the contact form on the website. Sometimes we also receive your data from a third party in the context of our services. To help you further, we store:

• Telephone number
• Your message

2. To prepare a quotation

Before we start working for you, we send you a quotation. For this purpose we store:

• Name of the contact person
• Company details (name, address, company number)
• E-mail address
• Telephone number

3. To carry out an assignment

If we work together, we use your data to carry out the assignment properly and to make arrangements:

• Name of the contact person
• Company details
• E-mail address
• Telephone number

4. For invoicing

For invoicing and, where necessary, the recovery of unpaid invoices, we store:

• Company details
• E-mail address
• Telephone number

5. To inform you about changes

If there are important changes to our services, terms or this policy, we will let you know. For this we use your name and e-mail address.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit it.

Which cookies do we use?

Our website only uses strictly necessary cookies. These are needed to make the site work properly and to secure the contact form. No consent is required for them.

The contact form is protected by a captcha, which blocks spam and abuse. To do so, that service may process technical data, such as your IP address and browser data.

We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. Should we do so in the future, we will first ask for your consent via a cookie notice.

Managing cookies

You can view, refuse or delete cookies via your browser settings. If you refuse strictly necessary cookies, the website or the contact form may not work properly.

Sharing with partners

To provide our services, we work with a number of suppliers and partners, for example for:

• Hosting our website and e-mail (Combell, Belgium)
• The contact form and captcha protection
• Our accounting and invoicing
• Processing payments

We make arrangements with these parties, such as a data processing agreement, to keep your data secure. We only work with partners who comply with the GDPR.

Some partners process data outside the European Economic Area (the EU, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland), for example in the United States. In that case we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data and do not share it with persons or organisations outside mseed, except with the partners listed above. Sometimes we are legally required to disclose data, for example to a public authority.

Security of your data

Mseed takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unlawful use.

Anyone who processes or has access to your data on our behalf is bound by a data processing agreement or a confidentiality undertaking.

How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep your data longer than necessary. You can always ask us to erase your data, unless we are legally required to retain it.

Contact details and messages

We erase names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and messages no later than 5 years after our last contact.

Quotations and invoices

We keep quotations and invoices for the statutory period of 10 years. Until then, your data remains in our invoicing system.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data. You can request restriction of processing, object to processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to data portability. We do not take decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

Please send any request to info@mseed.be. We will respond as soon as possible, and at the latest within one month.

Are you not satisfied with how we handle your data? Then you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, GBA), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

Reporting a data breach

If a data breach occurs despite all precautions, we will notify the Belgian Data Protection Authority within 72 hours where required. If the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you, we will also inform you directly.

Have you discovered a data breach? Please report it to us as soon as possible at info@mseed.be so that we can take action immediately.

Liability

This policy only covers the personal data processed by mseed. Mseed is not responsible for the operation or content of third-party websites or services to which we refer.

Changes

Mseed may amend this policy, for example in the event of new legislation or changes in our business. The most recent version is always available on this page. We will inform you of any important changes if we have your details.
